Treloar College students’ artwork is to be viewed by thousands of people as it goes on display next month in an Alton supermarket.

Students from both A Level Art and Foundation Level Textiles have been working hard and exercising their creative side to put together stunning murals, depicting a sport represented at the Paralympic Games, which will be exhibited in the foyer of Sainsbury’s in Alton.

Sainsbury’s, who are the official sponsor of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, will launch the display made up of around 11 panels on Friday 4 November at the store on Drayman’s Way, and local MP Damian Hinds is expected to attend the unveiling.

The artwork will remain on display in the run up the Paralympic Games next year, and is sure to be enjoyed by thousands of local people who visit the store.

Debby Bridger from Sainsbury’s said: "Sainsbury’s are sponsoring the Paralympic Games and wanted to get the students from Treloar’s involved. We wanted to show the community what Treloar’s students can do.”

Paul Beesley, Deputy Store Manager at Alton, said: “The artwork they have produced is simply amazing, I am very impressed with the result.”
