Educational Psychology

Educational psychologists (EPs) are concerned with learning and behaviour, particularly with children or young people with difficulties that may affect their educational progress and psychological development.

As with most of the support we offer at Treloar's, our EP works closely with other staff, parents, students and other organisations, and assesses some students individually, to see what kind of support they need.

Our EP may observe your child in different situations within the School to build up a picture of their daily life, and also work with them one-to-one away from the classroom.

Knowing the kind of situations in which difficulties occur and understanding the perceptions of those who know a student well, helps our EP to recommend the most effective and appropriate ways to resolve difficulties.
