Getting your school involved

Schools fundraising

Schools have always been keen supporters of Treloar’s.

Since Sir William Treloar’s early fundraising days all those years ago, schools have recognised the need to support children with disabilities. If you were at school in the 1920s and 30s you may remember putting a coin in the box for Lord Mayor Treloar’s!

It’s easy to make the link between young people in your school and those at Treloar’s, and the “citizenship” element of the curriculum creates many opportunities to get involved in charitable giving and disability issues.

What ideas will your students come up with?

You can find many ideas in our ABC of fundraising – can you think of a Z?

We encourage other school children and students to learn more about how people with disabilities think and feel.

Why not invite a member of Treloar’s to address your assembly? Or bring your pupils to meet ours? Visit us, join us for a field trip or come along to some of our School and College activities.

To find out more and share your ideas with us call 01420 547 477 or email fundraising@treloar.org.uk
