CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS throughout September
The Treloar Trust are holding an array of events during September to celebrate the end of their centenary year. Please click here for a full list. We hope that you will join in the celebrations?
PASS THE PASTY 1st to 13th September
To complete the Treloar Centenary, Steve Speczyk (parent of a former student) and others are proposing to walk from the home townof the founder of Treloar's, Lord Wiliam Purdie Treloar arriving at the site of the Treloar buildings 100 years to the day it opened. This will mean leaving Helston, Cornwall on the 1st September and arriving in Alton on 13th September.
They will be pushing a giant cornish pasty along the way and passing it from county to county and town to town! The event is being supported by Ginsters who will be making the pasty and supporting vehicle. There will be a number of people who are walking at different stages throughout the walk and if you want to support them, please go to www.justgiving.com/passthepasty
Further details and the final schedule will be posted on the dedicated website www.passthepasty.com as soon as it is finalised. If you think you can help in any way by providing accommodation on route, want to join a section of the walk, promote the event in your area etc, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
