Sophie Thompson As well as a fabulous and varied actingcareer (Four Weddings and a Funeral and Gosford Park amongst others), Sophie won Celebrity Masterchef last year. Her debut cookbook is full of recipes from family and friends. Sophie is the daughter of Eric Thompson and Phyllida Law and sister of Emma.

Nicola Beauman from Persephone Books. Nicola began reprinting ‘neglected women writers’ in 1999. She will talk about Persephone Books’s first fifteen years, about her life running a small publishing company and about women writers in general.

Cesca Major’s debut novel, The Silent Hours, just published, has received rave reviews from the critics. A gripping, fictional account of a real event in wartime France.This novel is set to become a bestseller for the summer and Cesca an exciting new talent to watch.

Georgie Newbery is a flower farmer, florist and writer of The Flower Farmer’s Year and Grow Your Own Wedding Flowers. She will demonstrate and talk about flowers.
