Treloar’s is thrilled to announce that Dame Jacqueline Wilson has agreed to become a patron of the charity. Dame Jacqueline, well known for her vast and diverse work in children’s literature and whose most enduring and successful literary character is Tracy Beaker, visited the campus at the beginning of July as the finale of the annual Six Book Challenge, an annual competition run by The Reading Agency to encourage people to read.

Dame Jacqueline was delighted when asked to become a Treloar’s patron, “I very much enjoyed my visit to Treloar’s earlier this year. It is such a special place with a wonderful atmosphere amongst students and staff. I shall look forward to working with Treloar’s further as a patron”.
