Catering for your dietary needs

Everyone needs to eat well to stay fit and healthy, and mealtimes are also a time for everyone to get together, and socialise, in our state-of-the-art dining room.

Some of our students need extra help with their diets, because they struggle to keep weight on, they need to keep an eye on calories, or they have a gastrostomy. We cater for all these dietary needs, and many more.

Our state registered dietician advises on appropriate menus and, if appropriate, can work with you to keep an eye on your weight and appetite.
She works closely with our catering team. Together they make sure all our meals, including the vegan, vegetarian, Kosher, Halal, gluten- and dairy-free options, are tasty and well-balanced.

Our dietician can also work with residential support, medical and therapy staff to ensure you get the kind of diet that suits your particular circumstances.
If you have difficulty with eating and drinking, your speech and language therapist will work with your occupational therapist and residential support staff to make sure you get the correct food consistency and equipment in the dining room.
