Partnership and Collaboration

Other organisations we work with

Pooling our resources

At Treloar’s, we have many years experience working with students with disabilities. But we are continually striving to develop our expertise.

We are also keen to learn from other organisations and share ideas and resources, so that we can offer even greater benefits to our students, and other young people with disabilities.

We have a very well established partnership with nearby Alton College which means some of our A level students study there.

The extended services we offer are listed below. Please click on any of them to find out more:

Flexibility -  a groundbreaking scheme that opens our doors to day students from other colleges to give them a chance to learn vital independent living skills.

Seconded Therapy Services on an outreach basis to provide part-time therapy for students at other colleges.

Specialist Learning Assessments for learners with disabilities who apply to study in mainstream colleges.

Treloar's Direct – an innovative mobile service that takes everything we do to schools and colleges throughout the South.

Professional Visitors' Days which offer colleagues an opportunity to see our work at first hand and discuss areas of common interest.

Employer Engagement to help employers offer more effective work experience for learners.

We are also fortunate to receive funding to develop our use of technology. Projects currently underway are:

  • Development of an accessible Virtual Learning Environment using a product called Moodle
  • Development of a Management Information System (MIS) for tracking student achievement

We also contribute to many national forums including the Association of National Specialist Colleges, the National Further Education ICT Agenda and the Karten Network.
