Personalised Learning at Treloar College
Helping you get where you want to be in life
Every student is different – and everyone’s college experience is different too. That’s why we place a huge emphasis on the individual at Treloar’s.
You get your own Individual Learning Plan (ILP), which looks at your life as a whole, not just what you’re studying, and describes your plans and goals, as well as the steps needed to achieve them.
You work with your ‘team’ of carers, tutors and therapists to write an ILP so you can make informed choices while at college, and when you leave Treloar's.
The important thing about an ILP is that, while there are lots of people here who can help you achieve your goals, the motivation and effort has to come from you. Every student and their team gets together to review progress every term – ILPs can even be updated weekly, depending on how things are going and how particular plans are progressing.
