Religion and Spirituality at Treloar College

A place of many faiths

Treloar College was founded on Christian principles and we employ an ordained Church of England priest to support the pastoral and spiritual care of our students, their families and staff. But we are by no means exclusively Christian.

Young people from every faith, and with no particular belief, are welcome at Treloar’s. We encourage everyday expressions of faith, such as diet, fasting, personal grooming and clothing.

The benefits of this approach include:

  • Anyone can talk to the College Chaplain
  • You can worship, reflect or pray in the Chapel, regardless of your faith.
  • Communal celebrations and worship take place in the Chapel
  • Friday Live! takes place in the main hall every week - a popular time for fun, celebration, challenge, laughter and live music, with a broadly Christian ethos
  • Students who follow a faith are encouraged to worship locally. Staff work with you to help you do this
