The heart of the College

The Treloar College Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is a bright and airy, state-of-the-art building, for all students and staff to use. Open from early till late, and also at weekends, it’s a flexible space for private study, one-to-one and group work.

Designed, equipped and staffed to help you learn and communicate in the way that suits you best, the LRC has:

  • Networked PCs with email and internet access, assistive technology (e.g. joystick, micromouse, large or cherry keyboard, spelling, screen reading and text enlargement software) and learner support
  • Unique revolving Kardex bookshelves for easy access
  • Reference books
  • Spoken word and large print books
  • DVDs and videos
  • Online resources
  • Subscriptions to specialist periodicals and electronic information sources
  • LRC staff on hand to help develop skills and learn independently

What else?

The LRC also offers activities and resources for leisure, including:

  • Tabletop games
  • Reading group
  • Individual reading support
