Teacher of Performing Arts - Holybourne - Full Time

Treloar’s is a groundbreaking organisation managing one of the largest specialist Schools and Colleges in the UK for young people with disabilities. Our fundamental purpose is simple: to enable disabled young people to fulfil their potential in every aspect of their lives. Treloar College is a Beacon College catering for approximately 180 young people with physical disabilities many of whom have additional learning difficulties.
Treloar College require a qualified performing arts teacher for September 2008 to deliver vocational courses, to a group of students, leading to qualifications at levels 1 & 2 in Performing Arts. You will need to offer a range of activities appropriate to their physical and educational needs.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the BTEC level 1 & 2 programmes together with delivering enrichment courses as part of a short course programme. As a personal tutor you will also be leading the development of students’ educational experience. You will be expected to play a leading role in the College Arts week.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for performing arts, be patient and have the ability to relate to young people.

Hours: 1 FTE a week
Salary: £22,326 - £29,425 pa, depending on experience.
