Fundraising Volunteer

Treloar’s is truly a fantastic and life-changing place. At our School and College we provide education, care, equipment and opportunities to enable our students to have a brighter, more independent future. However this would not be possible without your help.

There are so many ways you can support us and make a difference without even spending a penny. We couldn’t provide any of our services without people like you, so please take a look at how you can volunteer for us and get involved…

Events – throughout the year we run a series of events to raise money for our students. They range from our St Swithun’s Way Walk & Run, Film Screenings & Sing-alongs to our prestigious Black Tie Gala Dinners. We would love you to be involved - whether helping in advance, selling tickets for us or volunteering on the day itself.

Organise Your Own Event – fancy doing your own thing? Don’t let us stop you! Many of our supporters organise their own events, from small coffee mornings with neighbours to lavish annual galas with over 200 guests! The possibilities are endless!

Visit Volunteer – we regularly have large groups visiting our campus and meeting with our amazing staff and students to see first-hand the life-changing work we do at Treloar’s. As such we are always looking for volunteers to help with our tours by signing people in or backstopping groups.

Treloar’s Talker – become a trained Treloar talker. We always need people to help represent and spread the word of the fantastic work Treloar’s does and our student’s incredible achievements. So if you happy to speak to schools, rotary or WI groups and share the wonderful message of Treloar’s and our work we need you!

Administration Support – join the fundraising team and lend a hand volunteering in our office. Whether filing, letter stuffing or laminating there are various ways you can help and gain experience working in fundraising and the charity sector.

Research – help us through researching different areas, such potential trusts and grants we can apply to. You will be completely responsible for your own project and feedback your results to the team and the potential impact.

Town Representative – Help by putting up posters in your local area, handing out flyers in tower or helping collect at supermarkets.

Raffle Prize – we are always in need of raffle prizes for upcoming events. If you have the time to ask at your local shop or write a few letters on a behalf of Treloar’s to help us get raffle prizes, your support would be greatly appreciated.

Collection Boxes –help us by becoming a collection box coordinator. A simple but effective way to help us fundraise. Pop a collection box in your local shop, newsagent, school or office and just collect it when it’s full!

Onsite Projects – whether building, painting or planting we always have tasks around our campus and we are very grateful to any group who would like to offer some hands on help!

The Friends – Join the friends. A fantastic group of local people who offer practical help in the classrooms, stuffing envelopes, helping at events, such as their legendary annual Plant Sale, and much, much more.

Collectors & Community - a network of supporters who raise money through individual and group appeals. They raise over £150,000 every year!

So if you are able to dedicate some of your time and help volunteer in any way or would be interested in getting some more information please do give us a call on 01420 547 477 or email laura.toop@treloar.org.uk. We would love to chat through the possibilities and to answer any queries that you may have.

Your support really will make an enormous difference to the young disabled students at Treloar’s.

Thank you!
