Earning potential of £18,019 per annum dependant on qualifications (pro-rata to 42 hours per week for part-time staff) term time only

We are looking to recruit Student Support Assistant’s to work with students across Treloar and Alton College. Duties will include assisting students with their academic work, including note taking, helping to collect materials for research, photocopying and typing notes/assignments under the direction of the student. You will also be required to assist students in their examinations and assessments which may include scribing.

You will be required to assist (when necessary) the students with their mobility around the College campus and the outside area as well as giving assistance to students with meals during breaks throughout the day and feeding students where necessary. You will also be required to provide the students with support in regards to hygiene and personal care routines whilst at Alton and Treloar College. This will involve a range of shift patterns across the week including weekends.

Applicants must hold a good standard of general education, which is deemed to be at least to ‘A’ Level (or equivalent) and preferably to higher education standard. The candidate should also be willing to train to achieve CIEH Level 2 aware in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification. The post holder must be literate and numerate, have legible handwriting and must have the ability to work as a team and relate to young adult and to colleagues.
