Treloar's PTA

All parents are automatically a member of the PTA if you are the parent/carer of a student at Treloar School or Treloar College - so welcome!

The role of the PTA is currently three-fold:

  • Coordinates activities to raise funds for activities outside of the Treloar's remit, such as residential house Christmas parties;
  • We meet regularly with the Senior Management Team and feedback to parents where appropriate;
  • We meet informally on Monday mornings from 9.30am in the Jowett Centre for coffee and catch up.

A Parent Governor sits on the Governing Board as a representative of the views of parents/carers, in a similar way to both the Staff and Student Governors. Parents receive a termly newsletter which highlights information and newsworthy items. In addition the PTA holds a meeting at lunchtime on Parents Day which is open to all. This gives parents a chance to meet other parents, share and learn from other's experiences and have something to eat. We also normally welcome the input of at least one of the Senior Management Team at this meeting. We also sometimes invite an external speaker on a subject relevant to parents.
