Treloar’s Virtual Student Concert
April 11, 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic so many important fundraisers have had to be cancelled in the Treloar’s calendar including our very special and unique annual Gala Dinner at The Mansion House, London.
Treloar’s is very kindly gifted the use of The Mansion House by The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London every year but, this year due to COVID-19 we are obviously unable to host a live event. So for the first time we created a 45 minute free virtual event. We were thrilled to bring Treloar’s and all the excitement of this annual fundraiser into your homes and offices for the first time.
In case you missed it, the event is available via Facebook and YouTube. The film includes student, staff and celebrity interviews and features the Lord Mayor, Alderman William Russell, culminating in a magnificent performance from the School orchestra directed by Jocelyn Watkins, Director of Music at Treloar’s.
While we cannot receive visitors on campus, the film has enabled us to share some of the magical things that take place here at Treloar’s. We had an amazing response to the film from former students, families and supporters.
“Watched the fantastic Mansion House concert that was inspirational. My daughter Alex attended Treloar’s and it transformed her life.”
“The concert was very touching and a great reflection of the life-enhancing work you do – congratulations!”
“I just had to donate after watching tonight’s concert!”
“It is truly a magical place. Well done to everyone who is involved in making Treloar’s such a unique and special place.”
“I used to be a student and without the help I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
We hope you will support this event both by watching and by donating to Treloar’s – a truly amazing cause and all funds raised from the night will go towards supporting our inspirational students.
