Throughout the year, we have a number of volunteering opportunities at Treloar's – gardening, painting, helping to run one of our events, our Summer and Christmas Fete’s or a variety of other tasks. We can also consider skills based volunteering such as PR, design, marketing, event planning and support and research based projects.
These are great ways to motivate staff and contribute to team building, communication and leadership. We post information on the work carried out on our website, Twitter and Facebook, where possible also sending out press releases to local press to help raise your company profile.

The feedback we have received from companies has been incredibly positive.
Outdoor spaces refreshed by SAP volunteers
In 2017 we were delighted to welcome two volunteer groups from SAP. The first group painted fabulous bright colours on the picket fence within our sensory garden and the results were absolutely stunning, really reflecting the colours throughout the garden. Students use this as a relaxing and calming area and the newly painted fence really does enhance this space.
The second group restored the outdoor classroom with some brightly coloured walls, windows and coating to the exterior. This area is used throughout the year to encourage classes to spend time outdoors and learn about nature - the students will be thrilled with their new look classroom. The classroom is also very close to the Dipping Pond which was generously funded by SAP and in 2015 an SAP volunteer group also worked on this area, helping to dig out the pathway and creating the bank area.
All at Treloar’s are very grateful for this fantastic support and would like to thank the SAP teams for their amazing effort.
Both of these groups hope to return to do more and we look forward to welcoming them again to our campus. If your company is interested in volunteering on similar projects, please contact Charlotte in the Corporate Fundraising Team.
