It was a typical August day - drizzle, followed by downpour and unseasonally low temperatures to boot - when a team of ten volunteers from Alcura came to help plant our Evans House garden. This didn’t put them off and between them they planted box hedging and shrubs and then laid two trailers loads of bark chippings to finish the whole area off. The Alcura team, who are based in Alton and provide healthcare services across Europe, worked very hard and in spite of the dreadful weather, have made this muddy courtyard into somewhere lovely for our students to sit, chat, relax and chill with their friends. A huge thank you to Alcura from everyone here for a cracking days work and we look forward to seeing them again soon!!
