Getting festive at the Treloar's Christmas Concert

Dec. 12, 2017 Back to news index

On Thursday 7th December Treloar’s held its annual Christmas concert at the Alton Malting’s centre. This year we were joined by 12 Treloar’s students and the Hart Male Voice Choir, who performed a melody of Christmas songs alongside our students.

The evening was full of classic Christmas songs for all to enjoy including Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The Hart Male Voice Choir treated us to some of their own songs including an African styled song inspired by an earlier choir tour to South Africa. Students Sophie and Sally also sang a beautiful rendition of The Lord is my Shepard, whilst Isobel later on took centre stage to sing part of In the Bleak Mid-Winter as a solo. All of the students were fantastic - very well done!

The rest of the evening was filled with mulled wine, mince pies and the opportunity for some last minute Christmas card shopping. Overall the even raised over £2,500, with a special thank you to Town and Country Couriers who sponsored the event and donated a prize for the raffle, and Tesco's who provided the mulled wine.

We hope that everyone who attended the concert enjoyed themselves and hope that you all have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year!
