A cracker of a Christmas concert

On Thursday Treloar’s students joined forces with the Hart Male Voice Choir for a sensational Christmas Concert at the Alton Maltings Centre.

It was a brilliant effort co-led by Treloar’s Head of Music, Jocelyn Watkins, and the HMVC musical director Margaret Brackenborough and the perfect way to kick off the festive season.

A crowd of hundred strong watched the two choirs perform an array of festive favourites together.Highlights included a duet with Treloar student, Amy and John from the HMVC, Carol of the Bells rung on a set of bells and the audience and choirs singing and signing in makaton ‘we wish you a Merry Christmas!’

One member of the Hart Male Voice Choir commented:

“As a member of Hart Male Voice Choir for over 25 years I have enjoyed many wonderful and emotional musical experiences but our concert with you last night takes the biscuit.

Miraculous just about describes what you and your team have achieved with your students and I was humbled and grateful to be allowed to share in your concert.

Please accept my congratulations and thanks and share them with your staff, volunteers and especially the children for giving me an experience I will treasure.”

A huge thank you to everyone involved and to our event sponsors Charters Estate Agents.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
