On Thursday 8th December Treloar’s held their annual Christmas concert in Pike Hall. Students from the School choir, were joined by the Carillon Singers, to entertain just over 100 visitors with festive cheer! Performances from the students included:
The Carillon choir was directed by Ralph Earwicker who led a team of 30 whilst accompanied by piano from Liz Sharma. Some of their popular hits included classics such “Ding Dong Merrily On High” and “Shepherd’s Joy.”
During the interval guests were able to enjoy a crack at the raffle, guess the weight of a cake and a chance to win a bottle of bubbles to celebrate this party season! Along with all this nibbles such as cocktail sausages, mince pies and Santa styled brownie bites were provided by the catering team. Of course no Christmas party is complete without a bar, especially when mulled wine is available!
Throughout the evening Beth Arnott, one of our primary teachers, portrayed some of the music in sign language. Towards the end of the evening everyone joined in signing “The Twelve Days Of Christmas” under direction from Beth and the schools music teacher Jocelyn Watkins! It was a brilliant end to a festive evening!
In total the event raised just over £1,100! The money raised will continue to help provide students with accessible resources in both education and therapies.
