We were delighted to welcome Hospital Saturday Fund to Treloar’s to present a cheque for £3,500 which will enable us to purchase a GridPad Eye 13 with MyGaze technology. At Treloar's around 80% of students have speech, language and communication challenges and 46% are non-verbal or require support from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) equipment . Technology such as the GridPad Eye 13 with MyGaze technology is essential at Treloar's in order to meet students complex needs and utilising AAC equipment such as this really does help to unlock their ability to communicate and express themselves.
The new GridPad will give students a further option for equipment to try when exploring eye-gaze technology with them. Having a range of equipment for students to try also means that they can have extended trials with several devices and decide what works best for them. Students would then go on to request funding for their own equipment, having chosen that which is most suited to them.

All at Treloar's would like to thank Hospital Saturday Fund for their generosity and ongoing support.
