Team Treloar’s storm the 37th London Marathon

April 26, 2017 Back to news index

Sunday 23rd April was a great day for running – and a great day for Treloar’s as twelve amazing individuals tied their laces in Greenwich and started in what was the largest London Marathon to date with over 39,400 participants crossing the finish line in The Mall.

The Treloar Team were just as amazing as ever with all of them crossing the finish line and between them raising over £20,000 for the severely disabled young people who live, learn and grow at Treloar’s.

The Treloar cheer point was just before the 30km marker at South Quay and we had lots of fun cheering everybody on, but especially our tip-top twelve! We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all of them for their super-human efforts both on the streets running and also with all the fundraising that has been going on.

Congratulations to: Will, Henry, Rob, Tom, Hallam, Harry, Grace, Victoria, Lee, Andrew, Ian and Leigh. And special mention must go to Lee, Andrew and Ian who have been building up to London by taking part in the Limassol Marathon as a warm-up, to boost their fundraising for Treloar’s!

The public ballot for the 2018 race will open to all applicants on Monday 1 May and close at 17:00 on Friday 5 May. If you would like to run for Treloar’s in next year’s Marathon, or get active in another way, please get in touch or visit our website www.treloaractive.org.uk for more information
