Despite the dreadful weather forecasts, the rain held off on Saturday when the seven intrepid Muddy Bikers got into the saddle to cycle around London at Night in the 100km Nightrider, raising over £2,400 for Treloar’s in the process.

Duncan Pate, Jeff Williams, Mike Stoller, Andy Church, Ian Bickerdike, James Bowling and Mark Bowman all set off from Crystal Palace at around 11pm on Saturday 7th June and followed the course past all of London’s iconic landmarks: riding down The Mall, through the Olympic Park, over Tower Bridge, past The Oval, Lords, and Abbey Road Studios, to name just a few.

The Muddy Bikers, so named because of their Sunday afternoon bike rides in all weathers, finished at around 5am and after being driven home, enjoyed a well-earned bacon butty! The money they have raised for Treloar’s will be used to help the students to live their lives as independently as possible and give them a chance at a brighter future.

“We are incredibly grateful to all the Muddy Bikers” said Jon Colville, Director of Fundraising at Treloar’s, “for not only completing this exciting bike ride but also raising a fantastic amount of money for Treloar’s - the bacon butties were very well earned!”
