Treloar’s outdoor spaces refreshed by SAP volunteers

Nov. 2, 2017 Back to news index

We were delighted to welcome two volunteer groups from SAP on Tuesday 31st October and Wednesday 1st November 2017.

The group on Tuesday painted fabulous bright colours on the picket fence within our sensory garden and the results were absolutely stunning, really reflecting the colours throughout the garden. Students use this as a relaxing and calming area and the newly painted fence really does enhance this space.

The group on Wednesday restored the outdoor classroom with some brightly coloured walls, windows and coating to the exterior. This area is used throughout the year to encourage classes to spend time outdoors and learn about nature - the students will be thrilled with their new look classroom. The classroom is also very close to the Dipping Pond which was generously funded by SAP and in 2015 an SAP volunteer group also worked on this area, helping to dig out the pathway and creating the bank area.

All at Treloar’s are very grateful for this fantastic support and would like to thank the SAP teams for their amazing effort.
