Treloar College students, as part of their vocational enterprise programme, were given the task to raise money for a charity. They chose one – Amnesty International – and then had to come up with ideas on how to raise money. These included a cake sale, an art sale and a ‘student versus staff’ boccia competition. For the latter, entrants paid to enter the competition and participants then had to pay an additional amount if they lost. In total, the students raised a phenomenal £137.16 and learned how difficult raising funds can be.
