HRH The Countess of Wessex visited Treloar School and College on Tuesday 15 September 2015 to officially open the newly renovated Evans House. The Countess, who is the Treloar’s Royal Patron, last visited the campus in June 2014.

Upon arrival The Countess of Wessex was welcomed by Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire Mr Nigel Atkinson and his wife Christine and was greeted by several senior council officials. After the formalities, Her Royal Highness then moved into the common room of Evans House to meet the key staff who helped make the project a success, followed by a tour of Evans House to meet the students and staff on the house.

Evans House was one of Treloar’s original older 1960s style buildings; it has been extensively reconfigured and refurbished into 6 independence flats and 14 en-suite rooms. The accommodation provides College students with the ability to gain essential skills and experience and ensures they make a successful transition when they leave Treloar’s.
