On Monday 7 March the Treloar's Table Cricket Team, captained by School student Mike, headed to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton to compete in the Lord's Taverners County Table Cricket Tournament. There were nine schools from across the county all trying to win a place in the regional event.
Team Treloar's consisted of captain Mike, Jordan, Joe, Ben, Lucy and Andre. They played really well, took the silver medal and qualified for the regional event, which will be held here at Treloar's in May. They narrowly missed the top spot as the top two teams had the same number of runs but we had lost more wickets.
We are really looking forward to competing in the next round and hope to progress to the national finals, which will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 24 June. Thanks once again to everyone that supported us, especially Matt, Amber and Michal.
