School student Kitty wins young writers' competition

Kitty receiving her awardEarlier this spring, School student Kitty won first prize in the Jane Austen 200 young writers' competition with her story entitled ‘Letter to Patch’. The competition, in honour of the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s death, was judged by children's authors Ali Sparkes and Angela McAllister and had over 300 entries. The theme of the competition was a ‘letter to a friend’.
