School student Poppy, her brother Sam and father Rob will be taking part in the Brighton Marathon this coming Sunday raising money for Treloar’s. Eleven year old Poppy, who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is the instigator of this challenge, will be pushed around the course in her wheelchair by Sam with a bit of help from her dad when necessary. The three of them will appear this evening on TV station ‘That’s Solent’ (Freeview Channel 7 in the Solent area). For those who cannot view the channel, the interview can be found on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkg2qcrA-K4.

Poppy and Rob were also interviewed this morning on BBC Radio Surrey (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04x0ps8, go to approximately 2 hours 25 minutes) and an Eagle Radio interview with Sam is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

There is still time to sponsor them – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Rob-Jones52.

We wish Team Jones the very best of luck on Sunday for what will no doubt be a truly memorable day for them all. We are so grateful for their support and the money raised will help Poppy and her fellow students live their lives more independently.
