How to Apply

"The relationship with families begins before a pupil is offered a place and continues after the pupil leaves". OFSTED report, January 2018

The next step

The best way to see what we do is to come and visit us, meet the children and the staff.

There are a couple of ways you can do this;

  • Attend one of our Open Days
  • Arrange a private visit, with or without your child

You can give us a call on the number below for an informal chat or look at the website and watch our video, we can even put you in touch with current parents who can tell you all about their experiences of having a son or daughter at Treloar's

To arrange a visit, or speak to someone please contact our Admissions team on 01420 547747 or email

What happens next?

To be sure that Treloar's is the right place for your child, we provide a thorough interview and assessment process, including an overnight stay for children wishing to be residential. We will then discuss with you how Treloar's can meet your childs needs and explain the application process that we would now follow with the Local Education Authority.

A child doesn't need specific qualifications to get a place with us. We simply need to feel confident that we have the resources and expertise to help them gain an education and reach their potential. We accept children and young people from all backgrounds, from across the UK and abroad.

Once a place has been provisionally offered, funding needs to be agreed with the relevant local authority or privately negotiated. Charges for school activities and school trips are advised in advance and based on the cost of the activity. Any issues of hardship should be confidentially addressed with the Head of School and College.

"We came away from the interview very happy. Treloar's was a place the whole family was happy with".
