Treloar’s is a large and lively residential specialist School and College supporting up to 170 children and young adults with physical disabilities to access education near Alton, Hampshire.
£16,932 to £19,238 per annum (depending on experience)
Up to 21 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a Music Therapist to work as part of the Counselling Psychotherapies Team delivering music therapy to support students aged 7-25, with highly complex physical disability, and a range of emotional or mental health problems, learning and/or physical disabilities, developmental disorders, life-limiting conditions, neurological conditions or physical illnesses. The Music Therapy provision for the School and College will include; individual student sessions, 8 class groups of students, Music Therapy assessments, and, staff consultative support.
The successful candidate must have previous clinical experience with children and young people, knowledge of several instruments, including those suitable for severely disabled students and knowledge of working with Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policy and procedures. The successful candidate must also have training in Music Therapy to minimum MA level, HCPC membership/registration and be able to demonstrate CPD.
