Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist
April 29, 2022 / 1:28 pm
Term Time only, plus 2 weeks in the School/College Holidays
Full time and part time hours considered (with a minimum of 25 hours per week)
£35,210 to £40,404 per annum depending on experience (pro rata for part time)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. We are an enthusiastic, supportive and skilled team of OT staff who work together to deliver training, intervention and assessment across campus from our youngest at 3 years to our college students in their early 20’s.
Occupational Therapy is seen as integral to all aspects of the students’ daily life; intervention is therefore closely linked with residential and educational programmes, and carried out in conjunction with our therapy and health colleagues. You will maximize students’ abilities to engage with and perform functional tasks in the areas of play, mobility, education, self-care, leisure and independent living skills.
You will manage a small defined caseload of students with complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities demonstrating clinical reasoning, analysis and problem solving throughout the Occupational Therapy process.
The successful candidate will hold a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council. You should have experience of working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities within an educational setting. However would also welcome applicants without direct paediatric experience but strongly transferrable skills into this setting. Experience in sensory processing and/or neurodisability treatments would be an advantage but is not essential.
We offer:
- Term time only
- Excellent training and development opportunities
- Life insurance, Group Personal Pension & Occupational Health schemes
- Health Cash Plan & Perkbox discount scheme
- Free wellbeing activities (e.g. gym/yoga)
- Free parking & many other benefits
