November 23, 2021 / 12:51 pm
£34,519 to £39,611 per annum (pro-rata to 42 hours)
Full time preferred, part time considered (25 hours plus per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. We are an enthusiastic, supportive and skilled team of 26 OT staff who work together to deliver OT training, intervention and assessment across campus from our youngest at 3 years to our college students in their early 20’s.
Occupational Therapy is seen as integral to all aspects of the students’ daily life; intervention is therefore closely linked with residential and educational programmes, and carried out in conjunction with our therapy and health colleagues. You will maximize students’ abilities to engage with and perform functional tasks in the areas of play mobility, education self-care, leisure and independent living skills.
You will manage a small defined caseload of students with complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities demonstrating clinical reasoning, analysis and problem solving throughout the Occupational Therapy process.
We offer continuity of care to our students, which gives the opportunity for immense job satisfaction, working in an inspiring atmosphere. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and CQC in every area. The idea candidate will have experience of working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities within an educational setting. Experience in sensory processing and/or neurodisability treatments would be an advantage but is not essential.
We also offer the following benefits:
- Term time only
- Good training & development opportunities
- Life insurance & Critical Illness Cover
- Group Personal Pension & Occupational Health schemes
- Health Cash Plan & Perkbox discount scheme
- Free wellbeing activities (e.g. gym/yoga)
- Free parking & many other benefits
Closing date: 5th December 2021
