This Mental Health Awareness Week, we are excited to talk about the power and importance of community!
It's a safe, positive community that helps us all in taking care of our well-being. Having strong connections with other people and supportive communities helps us thrive. And this is really crucial at Treloar's: students join the school community at different ages and stages within their own learning and growing up journey. That's why we do our very best to meet everybody's needs:
- Treloar’s therapists work in and out of the classroom to ensure that students can participate in every aspect of school and college life
- We are open 38 weeks of the year and can offer a range of day, residential and respite placements
- Our Counselling Team supports the emotional, social and mental health needs of children and young people at our school and college
- Our team of dietitians support students with their nutrition needs and work closely with the Catering Team to provide a range of menus to meet the needs of every student
- Students have access to appropriate technology to enhance and support their education and independence
- Our Health Centre is the base for our large team of nurses, clinical educators, health care assistants, medicines team, dietitians and administrative support. It is also where the contracted GP clinic is held 4 mornings each week.
These are just some of the many things that make Treloar’s so special.

"Being at Treloar’s has made a huge impact on my confidence and self-esteem, I feel so much more independent and I feel like I can do a lot more things on my own.”
