As part of the preparation for the Exclusive Networks Charity Football Tournament, we were delighted to welcome Laura, Digital Marketing Manager, Annabel and Ellen, Marketing Managers, and Connor, Social media consultant, for Exclusive Networks, who led a workshop for Treloar School and College students.
The Exclusive Networks Charity Football Tournament is a day which brings together over 30 teams from Exclusive Network’s partners and vendors to compete together for a fun day of football and fundraising. As party of our partnership with Exclusive Networks, we feel incredibly lucky to have been chosen as the partner charity for this year’s event.
Partnering with Exclusive Networks has created amazing opportunities for our students to gain valuable work experience and build their confidence in the local community. We’re inspired by Exclusive Networks commitment to community connection through their sponsorship of Alton FC, and our students are looking forward to attending the Exclusive Networks Charity Football Tournament on 14 May at Alton FC.
Treloar’s students share the same passion for community and a group of school and college students will be volunteering during the tournament, to help out with registration of players, marshalling, score keeping and collecting stories for social media.
To help the students prepare for the big day, Laura and Connor introduced the students to the event and shared some tips about how Exclusive Networks will use social media during the day. Laura gave an introduction to which channels they use to share insights into Exclusive Networks expertise, and what their plans are for creating social media content about the Charity Football Tournament.
Treloar’s students are excited to be involved in the event and looking forward to creating content to share. Carmen is keen to learn about film making. Ben and Elodie will be doing some of the interviews with football players.
Elodie said: "I found the information useful and I enjoyed the session."
Each student will be given different roles during the day, so Connor shared his top tips for creating engaging content for social media.
Connor described the different job roles involved in creating content and what they do, and encouraged our students to work together in groups and try out different roles, for example being the director, writer, presenter, camera operator and film editor.
Hope said: "I really enjoyed the session. I loved all the content and how it was presented. I found it all useful and the workshop will help me on the day of the event. I'm so looking forward to the Tournament."
Thomas said: "The workshop gave me an understanding of what we'll be doing on the day of the tournament. It was a good presentation that was explained well. I liked being given time to ask questions which was helpful."
We’re grateful to Laura, Annabel, Ellen and Connor and the team at Exclusive Networks for giving up the time to visit Treloar’s, meet our students and share their professional expertise. The preparation today will help everyone to feel confident about their role on the big day.
This will be an incredible opportunity for students to gain valuable employability skills and build their confidence for life beyond Treloar’s.
