Listen to BBC Radio 3 episode ‘When Speech Isn't Possible’.

Philippa Perry from BBC Radio 3 with Treloar's staff members during a music lesson: they are all standing in front of the class, holding toys with attached stickers portraying different emotions.

Back in June, we had the pleasure of welcoming Philippa Perry and Anna Horsbrugh-Porter from BBC Radio 3 for a special visit with our Music Therapist, Cressida Lindsay, and Assistive Technologist, Dean Hall to see first-hand how we support students with one-to-one music therapy.

Dean shared how he adapted a violin to make it possible for one of our students to play during his therapy session. It was a great opportunity for our team to showcase the magic that happens when technology and music come together to support healing and expression.

The visit has been featured in Philippa's BBC series called How Music Heals; it was aired on BBC Radio 3 on Tuesday 24 September.
