On 9 October, Treloar's Sixth Form and college students had the chance to connect with staff from across Treloar’s during the Job Shop event, exploring a diverse range of internal work experience opportunities.
Job Shop 2025/2026: Students explore new work experience opportunities
Building on the success of last year’s relaunch, this year saw even greater engagement, with more departments offering exciting and meaningful projects. These opportunities are designed to help students develop essential skills, boost their confidence and independence, and prepare them for future careers, whilst also fostering stronger collaboration across the organisation.
Building skills, confidence and community through the Job Shop
In alignment with Treloar’s vision of a world where physically disabled young people take control of their lives and achieve their aspirations, the Job Shop plays a vital role in empowering students to explore their potential and take meaningful steps toward their future goals. Karen Florence, Employability Coordinator, shared:
“I am extremely pleased with the feedback received and genuinely grateful for the level of engagement demonstrated by all departments. It is truly encouraging to witness such commitment and shared purpose across the organisation. I am excited to see how our students will embrace these opportunities and grow through the experiences ahead."
