Treloar’s students are taking the lead in developing our new Partnership with the Costa Foundation. Through a new project, Planting Possibilities, our college internship students are exploring ways in which we can increase participation in outdoor learning at Treloar’s and are working together to develop future plans for our brilliant outdoor learning centre. The Planting Possibilities project, funded by the Costa Foundation, aims to support all our students to develop practical skills, confidence and independence through gardening.
Costa Foundation executive director Kate O’Brien said: “Funding our first-ever UK projects is something we have been working towards, and to see it become a reality, supporting an incredible school like Treloar’s, doing life-changing work for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, is a moment we are truly proud of.”
The Costa Foundation delivers outstanding work to improve access to education around the world. From building schools to supporting learning programmes, the Foundation is changing lives, and we are incredibly proud to be associated with such an inspiring organisation.
At Treloar’s, we know collaboration makes a difference. We look forward to working together with Costa UK and the Costa Foundation to continue creating opportunities for our students to thrive.
