The Dummer Fair celebrated its 30th anniversary on 7 and 8 October, raising more than £35,000 for Treloar’s and welcoming visitors to two days of independent shopping. The milestone event also marked 10 years of the Fair supporting Treloar’s, helping to fund specialist education, care and therapy for physically disabled children and young people.
The much loved Hampshire event brought together more than 90 independent stalls, offering visitors a carefully curated selection of fashion, accessories, homeware, lifestyle products and gourmet food. From returning favourites to exciting new independent brands, the Fair provided a unique shopping experience and an opportunity to discover something different ahead of the festive season.
One stallholder said: “What a fantastic time! Loved it. The best crowd in history and everything was organised perfectly. Like a dream!”
Since 2016, The Dummer Fair has raised more than £350,000 for Treloar’s. This longstanding partnership reflects the generosity and commitment of the Fair’s visitors, stallholders, sponsors and volunteers.
Speaking about the impact of the Fair’s fundraising, Chloe Atkins, Director of Fundraising at Treloar’s, said: “The Dummer Fair is a truly special event, made possible by a dedicated volunteer committee who work tirelessly throughout the year to maximise every pound raised. The funds generated make a real difference to physically disabled young people, helping them leave Treloar’s with the skills, confidence and independence to live the lives they choose, rather than the lives others might expect for them.”
The 2026 event continued the Fair’s tradition of bringing together loyal visitors, dedicated stallholders and supporters, reinforcing its reputation as a much anticipated fixture in the Hampshire calendar.
The event was proudly supported by headline sponsor Phillips Law, alongside support from Knight Frank and Shaw Gibbs.
Jack Gardener from Phillips Law said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring The Dummer Fair, raising funds for Treloar’s and all the wonderful work which it does.”
The Dummer Fair team would like to thank everyone who attended, exhibited, volunteered and supported the event. Their continued enthusiasm and generosity have helped the Fair thrive over three decades, combining an exceptional independent shopping experience with support for Treloar’s.
With 30 years of history behind it and a decade of fundraising for Treloar’s to celebrate, The Dummer Fair looks forward to building on this success for years to come.
