Our Careers Programme

At Treloar’s, we want you to be part of every decision about your next steps.

We will help you to:

  • Talk about your aspirations and goals
  • Find out your strengths and motivations
  • Understand different choices – like training, learning, work, living, and being part of your community

We are here to support you every step of the way.

Gatsby Benchmarks

We follow the Gatsby Benchmarks, which are national guidelines to make sure you get good support.

These are 8 benchmarks that help schools and colleges give you the best careers advice.

They make sure you:

  • Learn about different jobs and opportunities
  • Get chances to meet employers, former students and people from the community
  • Build your skills in real life work and community experiences
  • Get personal guidance that fits you

These benchmarks help you plan your future in a way that’s right for you.

My Life My Way:  Personal Guidance Session

A personal guidance session helps you explore your strengths and find the right education or path with support tailored to your needs.

If you want a 1-to-1 careers meeting or further support, talk to your teacher, student progress coordinator or the careers lead.
