Supporting your young person together.

At Treloar’s, we know how important your role is to your young person. Our Careers Programme is designed to support every student to move forward with confidence – whether that is into further education, volunteering, community life, supported employment, residential or supported living.

We work closely with families to ensure that guidance is personalised, clear, and realistic, helping your young person explore their strengths, interests, and next steps.

What to Expect from our Careers Programme

At Treloar’s, we provide tailored careers support to help your young person prepare for their next steps.

Our Careers Programme is designed around each student’s strengths, interests, and needs.

We offer:
•    Person-centred planning – your young person is central to every decision
•    Opportunities for one-to-one guidance – to explore options like supported employment, volunteering, further learning, and independent living
•    Practical experiences – including work placements (where appropriate), community visits, and skill-building activities
•    Annual Review of EHCP support to support transition planning
•    Family involvement – we work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to support your child’s future
•    A broad view of careers – we recognise that careers can mean many things for your young person, including community involvement, supported work, or personal development.

Gatsby Benchmarks

We follow national standards like the Gatsby Benchmarks.  We work with key partners locally and nationally to support young people to achieve their career outcomes and progress with confidence, whatever their path.

Personal Guidance

All students receive tailored guidance based on their individual needs, with experienced staff like teachers and Student Progress Coordinators (SPCs) providing support where required. Our qualified careers advisor is also available to help at key points, including EHCP reviews from Year 9, transitions between school or college, and when applying for internships, as well as at any other time students and families need additional support. Personal guidance sessions help your child to gain confidence and make informed decisions about their future with experienced, personalised support.
