Downing Care has been providing high-quality residential care and support for adults with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Epilepsy and Autism for more than twenty years. We have four homes across Hampshire and Surrey, all of which have been rated either good or outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
We understand that choosing a home for a loved one with support needs and disabilities can be a difficult and very stressful time. At Downing Care we endeavour to build trusting and open relationships with families and those needing our support, guiding and assisting them throughout the admission process.
We respect the rights of our residents to lead a safe, happy and fulfilled life and our staff are fully committed to supporting them to achieve this.
We currently have a room vacancy in our Outstanding care home in Alton, just a short drive away from Treloar’s College.
Jasmine House is a residential care home in Alton, Hampshire within walking distance to the town centre and all its amenities and just 5 minutes away from Treloar’s College.
It has been awarded Outstanding status by the Care Quality Commission.
A word from our Home Manager, Jane Brewer:
“At Jasmine House we strive to create a culture of learning and continuous development within a safe and positive environment. Our residents are supported and encouraged to look for and try out new activities, hobbies, and opportunities to enable them to grow as individuals. We achieve this by providing a highly qualified, diverse, and professional staff team who develop a safe, effective, and consistent person-centred approach, bespoke to each of our residents. We value their choices, enabling and promoting positive risk taking which is an empowering tool that helps with development of a healthy self-esteem.
Jasmine house is the residents’ home for as long as they wish it to be, their aspirations and choices are imperative to their growth, and we are here to listen and support them. We enable them to grow and develop feeling valued and making sure that their opinions and choices really matter.”
Our motto, as coined by one of our residents is: “Look at my ability not by disability” and we all live by it every single day.
