MiDAS is the nationally recognised Gold standard training scheme for enhancing the safety and care of minibus passengers.
We’re proud to be recognised as an accredited MiDAS training provider. Registered with the Community Transport Association we offer practical driving training and assessment.
Both the Standard and Accessible course are a combination of online theory and practical skills assessments. The Accessible course is for those driving accessible vehicles and operating tail lifts and securing wheelchairs.
Treloar’s MiDAS Driver Assessors deliver the practical, on-road component of the MiDAS training.
The MiDAS course will give candidates:
- Greater confidence when driving a minibus
- A thorough understanding of minibus equipment and safety requirements
- Up‑to‑date awareness of legal responsibilities
- A nationally recognised MiDAS certificate
We currently offer:
- MiDAS driver certification – Standard - £130
- MiDAS driver certification – Accessible - £160
- additional fee for travel costs to your venue of choice for the practical session
Meet your instructor
My name is Mark and I've been at Treloar's for 14 years. My background is Military where I completed most of my driving qualifications. I started at Treloar's as a driver, then progressing to Transport Training Manager. I deliver MiDAS Standard and Accessible along with Fire evacuation training, mainly for wheelchair users with the help of Cesar, also a Treloar's driver and instructor.
