Life on Campus

A majority of Treloar College students are residents during the week, some may go home at the weekends whilst others stay with us for up to 52 weeks a year. There are numerous activities provided for students during evenings. At weekends, there are some planned activities but students are also supported to plan their own activities and they are free to have some quiet time to simply relax.

Students have use of the Chill Out Zone for a wide range of activities and a bar is also provided. There are numerous clubs and opportunities to get out and about for activities such as deep sea fishing, sailing, kayaking, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, shopping, sports matches and cinema trips. As we have our own vehicles we can work with the students to ensure that if public transport is not suitable they can get to the activities they wish to attend.

So whether on or off campus there are always things happening should students wish to get involved and often students complain that there is not enough time to do everything they would like to take part in.

"Students told us about a good staff team who were kind, professional and who built up their confidence. Several described how they had been supported to become more independent. They liked the fact they were not treated differently and said they enjoyed their social life".
