Celebrating our College Leavers Prom 2021
In a year when many events have been re-imagined, postponed or even cancelled, we were determined that our College leavers would have a celebration and a Prom night to remember.
Tutor Flossie Bennett made sure the evening went ahead. The College Prom is an important milestone in the Treloar’s calendar. Our fantastic catering team produced a wonderful menu. Pike Hall was decorated with helium balloons and beautiful table decorations, all adding to the sense of occasion. The students were all very excited.
Thank you to all the staff supporting students and helping them to get ready. College leaders Ben Bastin and Jane Clarke had the tricky task of judging the “best dressed” competition, a challenge given that everyone looked amazing on the night.
Congratulations to the College Prom winners:
Prom Queen – Rachel
Prom King – Harry
Best dressed female – Maddie
Best dressed male – Jack
Special thanks go to Flossie for organising and bringing all the elements together to help create wonderful memories for our students. Additional decorations, balloons and flowers were provided thanks to the generous support of a former Treloar’s student and supporter.
This group of College leavers have faced many disruptions and uncertainties over the last 18 months. We’re super proud of everything they have achieved during their time at Treloar’s and the resilience they’ve demonstrated during the last challenging year. We’re confident in their ability to forge ahead with their futures beyond Treloar’s, as they prepare to take the next steps. Some students will be moving on to employment opportunities, some to university, and some to supported living providers. We wish them all well and hope they will keep in touch and let us know how they’re getting on.
