Celebrating student success beyond Treloar’s – Olly Coulson presents ‘Through Olly’s Eyes’
Former Treloar’s student Olly Couslon presents ‘Through Olly’s Eyes’ an exhibition at the Allen Gallery in Alton opening on Saturday 5th February and on display until 27th March 2022.
Olly’s passion for art started when he was 16 attending Treloar’s School and College and has been further enhanced by being an active member of Creative Response, Artscape, Art Venture, Art Invisible and Outside In.
Olly has had pieces exhibited at Flora Twort Museum, Fabrica, Pallant House and Piano Noble Gallery (in conjunction with Outside In).
Olly’s work is inspired by the ocean and he has developed a love of creating Mer-people (Mermaids and Mermen), portraits, scenic landscapes, and using driftwood, sweet wrappers and other recycled materials.
‘I enjoy painting them. I find them an unusual subject, there’s a lot of myths and legends surrounding them’
This exhibition showcases some of Olly’s vibrant two dimensional work.
The Allen Gallery is on Church Street, Alton GU34 2BW, and admission is free.
Opening times and full details about the collection are available on the Hampshire Cultural Trust website.
