College Leaver’s Certificate Ceremony
In early December 2017 Treloar’s hosted the 2016-2017 Leaver’s Certificate Ceremony for those students who left the College in July 2017. The event was put together by the Transition Team and was a great success; 17 leavers attended the event with their family, friends or members of their new team.
Information about what the students had been up too since leaving Treloar’s was read out and the students were awarded their certificates by Jane Clarke, Deputy Head of College, and Mike Chadwick, Chair of Governors. Principal Martin Ingram attended the event, hosting external visitors from the Department of Education who commented that they were very impressed with the ceremony and thought it was a great idea.
Once the ceremony had finished, the students were escorted to the Chill Out Zone where a slideshow of photos from the their time at Treloar’s was on display. Catering produced a lovely banquet of different varieties of cake with tea, coffee and soft drinks. The visitors mingled and caught up with others who had left as well as therapists and tutors.
Overall the event was a great success and was described as ‘very enjoyable’ by one of the participants.
