College Leavers Certificate presentation via Zoom
The leaver’s Zoom event, hosted by Turlough Ducie in November was very well attended, with 15 of our 20 students who left last year, as well as staff from across the college and even some current students.
Martin Ingram introduced the event before Jane Clarke and Maria Sherwood read through individual student’s statements and achievements. Alongside we enjoyed photo-montages illustrating the students’ time here at Treloar’s.
Break-out rooms were then assigned to smaller groups of students and staff where they were able to chat and catch up. Turlough then closed with a quiz.
Although it was not the same as welcoming ex-students back on site it was a fun event and great to see the students together again.
A few highlights include the news that Kerry is enjoying life in her bungalow, writing her life story and crafting lovely Christmas decorations. Alfonso has applied to the Open University to study sport & fitness. Nigarish is enjoying an online course in video editing and Cory has been busy building his graphic design business. Eoin has been building his photography business selling cards and prints on Etsy.
