Gloucester House’s ‘Come Dine with Me’
Gloucester House recently had a ‘Come Dine with Me’ cooking competition in which 3 teams competed for the ‘Come Dine with Me’ crown. The competition was run over three evenings where one team of 3 students cooked for 9 of their peers each evening. The students chose and planned their menus and cooked the meals on the night. There was a great variety of culinary delights, such as homemade meatballs with homemade tomato sauce, Rocky Road, Chocolate Ganache, full English breakfast, chocolate fountain, homemade cheese and bacon burgers, mini hot dogs and hand decorated cupcakes (the team managed to bake, chill and decorate 28 cupcakes in an hour – impressive!). The students have really enjoyed it and really benefited from the independence and social experience the process has given them.
Congratulations go to worthy winners Arlo, Poppy and Ella with their menu of spaghetti meatballs with tomato sauce and Rocky Road with Chocolate Ganache.
